Legend of the Peaks - Kids Forest Run

Legend of the Peaks is back, and once again we are bringing you the PAK’nSAVE Kids Forest Run for FREE!!! This event is for primary (years 1-6) and intermediate school (years 7-8) age kids. Our goal is to get rangatahi active and involved in sports in the backyard.

This short loop (2km) provides awe-inspiring natural features and a festival atmosphere to help make an amazing day out for kids enjoying our forests and local entertainers.

Before each event there will be a group exercise/warm up session taken by one of our festival hosts.
Each event will have a prize giving which includes a brief closing korero and giving away spot prizes (please note that as this is a FUN RUN there are no placings given for either event).
And YES!!! Everyone who registers and takes part gets a finishers medal!

Date: Friday 7th November 2025

Location: Event HQ, Waipa MTB Carpark, Rotorua, Waipa State Mill Rd

Outline of the day:

Primary Schools Event Run Sheet Years 1-6. Registration open from 9am-10.15am

9.45am - Arrive at Waipa

10.15am - Race Briefing. Exercise Class.

10.30am - Race Start

11.30am - Prize giving and depart from Waipa

Entry Fees: The event is FREE, however there are limited entries. Entries are open to schools first. First in first serve.

Transport: You are in charge of arranging transport for your child to and from the event.
