Boys’ and girls’ primary school futsal tournaments are being held in Rotorua in April:

Girls’ tournament on Sunday 6 April
Boys’ tournament on Sunday 13 April
Both will be at the Rotorua Girls’ High School Arena from 9:30AM to 4:30PM.

Registrations Closed Tuesday 18th March - Late entries can not be accepted. Cost is $20 per player. Payment can be made at the School Office or via Online Banking - ANZ 06 0209 0229658 00 Please ensure you use your child’s name as reference and Futsal Comp as the code.

UNIFORM: PE gear, shin pads, school sports socks that cover the shin pads and non marking sneakers or futsal shoes.

Futsal is indoor 5-a-side soccer played on a basketball sized court with 3m wide by 2m high goals. Futsal is rapidly growing in popularity in New Zealand. Due to the small number of players required (five per team plus substitutes) it is easier for schools to find enough players for a team to give it a go.
In these tournaments, each team will play five 17-minute games; three pool games, a “semi-final” and a “final”. There will be no tournament winner. We would like for primary school teams to have a tournament experience in a fun and safe environment with no pressure to do well like there can be at Intermediate and Secondary school tournaments. However, there will be Fair Play Award which will be voted on by the referees.

IMPORTANT: All previous sports/event fees must be paid or arrangements made before your child can participate in sports for Term 1.
