Creating teams can be a difficult and time consuming job, if you have any queries or concerns about teams please note them in the comments section when you register. Teams are hard to change once they are made.
Once registrations close, team's will be created with team lists going to the coach/manager.
They will then contact you to introduce themselves and to let you know when practices and games are.
DUTY TEAMS - This term, we will be rostering DUTY TEAMS. Y3/4 duty teams will help
pack down the Goals and Y5/6 duty teams will be on Rubbish Duty. The Duty Team Roster
will be sent out with the weekly draw.
YEAR 5 / 6 - TRANSITION PATHWAY -
After trialing 7v7 in term two with some Y5/6 teams, it became apparent that some of our
Y5/6 players are ready for the 7v7 game and need to be playing this format to continue their
development. We are also aware that Y6 players need to become familiar with 7v7 before
they enter intermediate. Therefore, in term 4 we will be offering the option for Y5/6 teams to
transition into the 7v7 game.
Not all players are ready for 7v7 so two game formats will be offered in term 4. When
registering, individual teams have the option to register in the FF 6v6 competition or the FF
7v7 competition.
COACHES: New Team Coaches, Coaches that have not attended and also those wanting
to refresh are encouraged to attend the FF Coaching Workshops. The workshop ensures
Coaches understand the philosophy of Future Ferns Netball and how the Future Fern 10
Week Program works and is delivered.
Coaches Role at game time, Y1/2 and Y3/4 Coaches are on-court supporting / encouraging
their players. Coach Workshops dates: still to be confirmed.
UMPIRES: For Y5/6 grade, a team umpire will be allocated to your team.
Please let your coach know if you are unable to make a game or practice and if there are other adults who need to be on their contact list.
