Cricket Term 4 2021

IMPORTANT: All previous sports/event fees must be paid or arrangements made before your child can participate in sports for Term 4. SuperSmash Cricket (Yr0 - Yr3) – Thursday afternoons
• SuperSmash Cricket is an entry level coached programme, best suited to children 5-8 years
old, and designed to help participants learn the basics of cricket
• 6-week programme from 4th November to 16 December from 4pm – 5pm at Smallbone Park.
(no cricket on 2nd December)
• Mixed genders and all gear provided
• Cost is $25 for the 6-week programme, or $65 if the child wants to purchase a ‘cricket pack’
which includes a Northern Districts plastic cricket bat, ball, backpack, hat and drink bottle.

Incrediball Cricket (Yr 3 - Yr 6) – Thursday afternoons
• Incrediball is a modified game of cricket using a soft ball / plastic gear. Its suited for children
who understand the basics of cricket or have reasonably developed hand-eye coordination.
• Games held Thursday, 3.30pm till 5pm (approx.) at Smallbone Park, Devon Street.
• 7-week programme starting on 28th October to 16th December (no cricket on 2nd December
due to tournament at Smallbone Park)
• Incrediball teams are required to have a coach and someone to score / umpire
• Mixed genders and all equipment is provided.
• Costs for Incrediball is $35 per player

Girls-only Incrediball (Yr 3 - Yr 6) - Thursday afternoons
• Run as per mixed Incrediball, but all games are girls vs. girls
• Games held Thursday, 3.30pm till 5pm (approx.) at Smallbone Park, Devon Street.
• 7-week programme starting on 28th October to 16th December (no cricket on 2nd December
due to tournament at Smallbone Park)
• Cost for Girls-only Incrediball is $35 per player

Hardball Cricket – (Yr 4 -Yr 7 approx.) - Saturday Mornings
IMPORTANT: There is a change to the season for Hardball cricket, this to align with BOP Cricket and New
Zealand Cricket direction. Teams stay together for Term 4 and Term 1 i.e if your child plays for the "St Marys Hadlee's" as a Y6 in Term 4, then they will play in the "St Mary's Hadlee's" as a Y7 in Term 1.
There is one set fee.

• Wooden bats and protective gear are used as well as a hard cricket ball.
• Hardball teams are 8 aside – the first half of the season will begin on Saturday 30th October
and run until 18th December.
• Hardball will resume in late January 2021 (final dates tbc)
• Teams are required to have a coach and someone to score / umpire.
• Games start at 9am and are played in either Rotorua or occasionally Tokoroa or Whakatane.
• The cost for hardball cricket is $70 (this covers both Term 4 & Term 1 and must be paid in full prior to the season starting).

Uniform
For all year levels is the School PE top & shorts. Hardball can choose to wear cricket whites (pants only). Our School Uniform shop is open Monday & Friday 8.30-9.00am and Wednesday 2.30-3.00pm or click HERE to view/order uniform online.
