Sports Policies:

All students and parents are expected to sign and abide by the Schools Sport Code of Conduct accompanying sports registration forms. Representing St Mary’s Catholic Primary school in any sport is an honour and a privilege. We ask that students, parents and spectators demonstrate good sportsmanship, encouragement and offer support to coaches and players throughout the sporting season. Remember that our coaches are volunteers who are giving up their time, without them your child would not be able to participate.

Should you have an issue:

• Only coaches or School staff are to liaise directly with officials and/or organisers.
• If you have a concern, please do not approach coaches before or during games, wait until they have finished their coaching duties and/or make contact at suitable time.
• Please contact me directly if you have any issues, concerns or queries, the sooner I know the sooner I can help.

Sports Uniform Policy:

Most sport teams use the schools PE uniform, which you can buy at our uniform shop. Uniforms are only supplied for Netball and Miniball. School will issue uniform before games commence. Uniforms MUST be returned to the office at the end of the playing season, even if your child intends to play/use it again for another sport.

If your child’s sports uniform is not returned when requested, you will then be invoiced at replacement value. Your child will not be able to participate in any activities that require school issued uniform until the item/s are returned or the invoice is paid.

Notifications:

Please read your school newsletter every week, this is where important school notices go including all sports information including when sports uniforms need to be returned and deadline before invoices will be issued. The school newsletter is online, you can request to receive this via email on our School website https://www.stmarysrotorua.school.nz/

Please download our school app “SchoolApps NZ and search for St Mary’s Catholic School Rotorua” at google play store or apple store.

Click on the drop down menu and select settings. Here you can turn on notifications for app notices. Please select the appropriate year level for your child and the sports they play or intend to play. Sports notices will be put on the app from time to time eg. game cancellations, registration reminders and uniform return reminders/dates.
