Newsletter No 14 27 May 2020

Dear Parents/Whanau

It is wonderful to note we have 94-95% attendance at school this week. Thanks to everyone for helping to make the transition back to school very successful.

We would like to seek feedback from parents about the COVID-19 "Learning from Home" experience over the Level 4 and Level 3 period. We have tried to make the following survey quick to complete and will have a random draw for a $50 New World voucher for every 50 respondents ie If we can get 200 families to respond there will be 4 x $50 vouchers.

Here is the link to the survey https://forms.gle/M6e3mZ2UBN5zKwAL6 and it will remain open until 9pm on Wednesday 3 June. Please can you help us by completing this survey. Thanks.

It is great that the news gets better each day when we hear that there are no new cases in New Zealand of Covid-19.

Although this is the case at school we still need to follow safety protocols inside the school gate, but we need your help in following protocols especially when waiting in the church car park to pick up children after school.

If you are waiting for your child please wait in the fenced off area at the swimming pool end of the car park. At the end of the day children come into the car park from the school grounds and they will stand on a tyre or spot. When they see you your child will walk over to you. While waiting for your child, please do not stand in our coned pathways or in and around cars. As soon as you have your child I ask that you leave the car park. We need to make sure we follow the social distance protocols in the carpark.
You are welcome to drive through the car park to pick up your child.

WE NEED YOU TO FOLLOW THESE PROTOCOLS PLEASE.

WHAT WE ARE DOING AT SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN AT LEVEL 2
Children sanitise hands on entry to school
On entry children go straight to classroom
Wash hands on entry and exit of classrooms

Pentecost

This week classes are learning about Pentecost.

In the New Testament, this is noted as the day that the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples of Jesus.

Acts 2: The Coming of the Holy Spirit. When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages.

They can save it to their phone home screen so it’s instantly available, even offline. Multiple personal QR Codes can be saved to a single phone, making it easy to display and provide everyone’s contact details, completely touch-free”
