The Gala will go ahead rain, hail or shine; hopefully it will be the shine!

Our Year 5 and 6 students have been involved with water survival skills with Henk Gruepink from the Orange Swim School. Each class will receive ten lessons. The senior school will also get the opportunity to be involved over the next few weeks.

Here are the key messages for our school:

worry.
- Chances of any community outbreak remain very low.
- This doesn’t affect what we already are doing and the plans we
and health authorities already have in place.
- Practising good hand and sneeze/cough hygiene is the best
defence for any illness.
Travellers:
- Travellers coming from Mainland China,Iran, Northern Italy and South Korea are required to self-isolate for 14 days and report to Healthline's dedicated Coronavirus line on 08003585453.
- Travellers coming from Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore and Thailand, who develop a fever, cough or shortness of breath should contact their GP's office or Healthline on 08003585453.

FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES:

The Lenten Season
Classes have begun their study on Lent in Schools using the Caritas Unit. The 2020 Lent Theme, “Renewed by the Spirit” – is taken from
“Gaudete et Exultate – Rejoice and Exult” by Pope Francis. This theme reminds us of the call to encounter God and allow him to guide us, giving us the strength to live out our journey of faith and invite others to join us on our way.

Next week March 11th, we will have our Rice Day. Students are encouraged to eat rice for lunch, this will be provided. This helps children understand that rice is the main food source, sometimes only food for many people in our world. Money raised will go to Caritas to help them in their work around the world.

Many of our students made their First Reconciliation on Sunday. Lent is a perfect time to go to confession. Well done kids, and we continue to pray for you all as you continue on your faith journey.
