We aim to empower individuals to strive for excellence, and, to develop the life-long skills, attitudes and knowledge necessary for our changing world.

“With Christ as our Centre we will . . .”
  • provide holistic individual development.
  • Demonstrate the richness brought to our lives by faith
  • offer the experience of prayer and worship.
  • develop the gifts of faith (whakapono), hope ( tuumanako) and love (aroha).
  • cultivate a sense of personal and social responsibilities through self discipline.

“a balance. . . ”
  • With equal emphasis on all aspects
  • Covering all areas of the curriculum to give a holistic view.

“child–centred education . . .”
  • develop in children the basic essential learning skills.   These will act as a base from which the individual can develop the ability to think deeply, with discernment, and guided to the level of their own potential.
  • develop in students an attitude which sees education as a life long process.

“to develop…”
  • Build up, promote, affirm and foster. . .

“the whole person . . . ”
  • A holistic approach, covering all areas – physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social and cultural.

“with dignity. . .”
  • To respect and value differences in others.
  • To foster pride in the school community.
  • Preserve mana and dignity.

“as a Faith Community we. . .”
  • Work co-operatively towards our goals.
  • Foster the development of living in accordance with Christ’s Gospel values by making appropriate choices.
  • Help all to grow in understanding and tolerance of others.
  • Encourage students, staff and parents to be mutually aware of what it means to be a member of a Christian community
