Enrolment

St Mary's, as an integrated school, conforms to the standards set by the State in such matters as buildings, maintenance and equipment, staffing, administration, curriculum and teaching standards.

Integrated schools have a maximum roll. Ours is 400. This roll is made up of 'preference' (Catholic) pupils and 'non-preference' (other) pupils. The Integration Agreement allows 5% of our maximum roll to be 'non-preference' pupils. These children take part in the Christian Living programme as a condition of enrolment.

Further non-preference enrolments must form a waiting list until such time as a space is available. Having an older brother or sister already enrolled does not guarantee enrolment to the next member of the family on his/her fifth birthday. It will be dependent on the availability within the allocated number.
